- Two years of teaching high school English in Laconia, NH
- Fifteen years of running publications, from the Portland Phoenix to Security Systems News to Workboat News
- Five years running content for the International Association of Privacy Professionals
- Five years as a freelance journalist and content services specialist (whatever that means), which now puts me in the music industry. Which is great.
- I also co-own a bookstore with my sister, the Book Shop of Beverly Farms, in Massachusetts; play in a bluegrass band called the World Famous Grassholes; and teach skiing at Pleasant Mountain on the weekends.
